We are excited to present the OMNI pilot (Optimizing Maternal and Neonatal Outcomes in IBD) research study!
In this pilot study assess e-health and remote monitoring approach towards “tight control management” of IBD during pregnancy, we hope to show that close and frequent monitoring of objective disease markers (FCP fecal calprotectin, marker of intestinal inflammation) and optimization if needed of medical management of IBD, can improve maternal and neonatal outcomes. This first pilot study will assess acceptability and feasibility of close and frequent monitoring of the clinical disease activity scores and FCP in pregnant patients who have IBD. This study is being conducted out of Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto.
If you are a patient with IBD (Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis) and are pregnant (< 13 weeks gestational age), and would be interested to test out this e-health and remote monitoring of your IBD during pregnancy, and are in the greater Toronto or Ontario area, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call in to (416)586-4800 ext 2475.
